  1. ACT QUICKLY.  The longer the stain is allowed to remain, the more chance it has to set in.

  2. IDENTIFY THE STAIN.  Is it oil-based, or water-based?  See list below for examples.

  3. REMOVE EXCESS.  If possible, remove excess by blotting, scraping, scooping up or brushing off.

  4. DRY SPILLS?  Use a shop-vac or suction the excess, rather than vacuuming over the spill.

  5. KEEP CLUB SODA HANDY, for most water-based spills.

  6. TINY BIT OF DISH SOAP on a clean towel, for most oil-based spills, followed by blotting any soap residue with club soda and a towel.

  7. DO NOT RUB!  Tamp or blot with a towel.

  8. WORK FROM OUTSIDE EDGE IN, to keep the stain from spreading.

  9. TURN ON FANS to aid with drying out the stain, to help reduce spreading.

  10. CALL OUR OFFICE, for expert spot and stain removal, if these efforts do not work.

  11. ALWAYS HAVE PROTECTOR APPLIED with every carpet cleaning, to ensure the best chance for removing new stains.

THESE ARE GENERAL TIPS, AND IN NO WAY CONSTITUTE ANY GUARANTEE OF STAIN REMOVAL.
